We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. This involves conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing measures to prevent stock errors. Your work will be vital to our overall logistics operations, ensuring that our stock levels are precise and reliable. A strong commitment to Safety, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is essential. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Monitor inventory levels and report any potential shortages or overages.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Coordinate with shipping and receiving departments to ensure accurate material flow.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Ensure adherence to all Safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role.
- Ability to perform some Lifting, up to 30 lbs, during inventory checks.
- Strong understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with WMS software and Microsoft Excel.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to Safety and following established procedures.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
