We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary focus will be on ensuring efficient and safe handling of goods within our warehouse facility. This position requires a keen eye for detail, adherence to all safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will play a crucial role in our supply chain operations, contributing to the timely and accurate movement of inventory. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe forklift operation and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move pallets and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and stock placement as needed.
- Support other warehouse operations as directed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification (if applicable).
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
