Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and organized Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Austin, Texas. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the receiving process. Your primary responsibility will be to unload, inspect, and document all goods arriving at our distribution center. This role is crucial for maintaining inventory integrity and supporting the smooth operation of our supply chain. You will work closely with suppliers, drivers, and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies and ensure timely processing of incoming materials. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety are paramount in this position. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in a warehouse or receiving role is highly desirable. We offer a competitive hourly wage and opportunities for growth within our organization. You will be responsible for operating hand trucks and pallet jacks to move incoming freight. Adherence to all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety and proper handling of goods, is expected. This position requires the ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends, as needed. Commitment to wearing appropriate PPE is mandatory at all times while on the warehouse floor. This role is integral to our logistics operations and contributes directly to our success. You'll be part of a supportive team environment where your contributions are valued. Responsibilities:
  • Unload incoming trucks and verify shipments against purchase orders.
  • Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
  • Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
  • Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant departments.
  • Organize and stage incoming inventory for put-away.
  • Maintain a clean and safe receiving area.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory software.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
