VMware VCF Consulting Architect

Our client is currently in need of a VMware VCF Consulting Architect for an 8 month contract. The consultant will work remotely to lead the design of VCF 9 environments. The consultant will be responsible for working with the enterprise customer to lead design workshops and discovery sessions, develop architecture diagrams, risk register, business requirements, high and low level reference designs and deployment blueprints for VCF 9, define workload domain strategy, NSX design, vSAN policies, fleet management and SDDC Manager integration, provide input to transformation roadmaps and migration strategies from legacy vSphere/VCF, provide oversight for architects, consultants, project managers and partner teams to ensure designs are executed effectively, and act as a trusted advisor to customer executives and technical leads.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in design and architecture of VMware solutions
• Hands on experience designing VMware VCF 5.2 solutions
• Hands on training in VCF 9
• Deep technical knowledge of VCF, vSphere architecture, NSX, vSAN, Aria/VCF and/or Operations
• Strong leadership skills, including communication and presentation skills

Preferred Or Nice To Have Skills

• VCF Certifications
• Experience with Hybrid Cloud such as VMC on AWS, Azure VMware solution or Google Cloud VMware Engine
• Familiarity with Aria/VCF suite, containerization, and enterprise automation strategies
