What to Expect
Tesla is looking for an exceptional Maintenance Supervisor to join our Power Conversion System team. This Maintenance Supervisor will report to the Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for managing the preventative maintenance activities of the manufacturing line as well as reaction to unplanned downtime. The Maintenance Supervisor will be an individual who is highly motivated to contribute maximum effort to drive the highest possible efficiency of our manufacturing line. The correct individual for this role will be technically knowledgeable while also having strong interpersonal skills & the ability to lead. Organizational skills & proactivity/planning will be critical skills required.
What You'll Do
- Provide effective supervision and coaching to assigned shift/employees to achieve the required manufacturing availability (MTTR & MTBF) targets
- Ensure that standard operating procedures and engineering procedures are current, accurate and that all work is done in compliance to ensure maximum efficiency & safety
- Monitor to ensure that all employees comply with safety regulations and the plant's safety program
- Lead the LOTO program & ensure all employees fully adhere to & abide by the LOTO standards & rules set by Tesla
- Work with employees to resolve technical and personnel problems. Schedule employees to effectively meet production needs and to ensure vacation and other time off consistent with plant policies
- Provide shift-to-shift communication link in order to keep all team members working toward the same goals
- Communicate to employees all issues that affect the plant and perform other duties as assigned by the Manager
What You'll Bring
- 6+ years in a leadership role managing direct reports
- 6+ years of experience in fast paced high volume manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality
- Able to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities, establish and achieve goals
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and computer skills using Microsoft Office is a must
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekday and weekend overtime
- Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
