Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate and manage transportation operations efficiently. In this vital role, you will serve as the central communication hub, ensuring timely dispatching of freight, vehicles, and drivers while maintaining seamless communication across multiple platforms. Your expertise will help optimize routes, improve delivery schedules, and enhance overall supply chain performance. Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily dispatch activities for freight and vehicle movements using transportation management systems: DELIVERYTRAX
• Monitor GPS and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) data to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, warehouse teams, and clients via multi-line phone systems and other communication tools, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
• Enter accurate data into systems like AS400 and transportation management platforms to document shipments, schedules, and delivery statuses.
• Manage shipping & receiving schedules, ensuring compliance with logistics protocols and 3PL (third-party logistics) arrangements.
• Analyze transportation data to identify inefficiencies or delays, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement in supply chain operations.
• Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities, freight movements, and incident reports to support compliance and operational transparency.

Skills

• Proficiency in GIS, GPS technology, transportation management systems (such as Oracle TMS), and logistics software like SyteLine.
• Strong analysis skills to evaluate routing options, freight schedules, and supply chain processes effectively.
• Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, fleet management practices, and 3PL logistics solutions.
• Knowledge of transportation planning principles to optimize freight routes and delivery times.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment requiring multitasking on multi-line phone systems while managing dispatch priorities efficiently.
