Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Hibachi Chef to join our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary expertise, leadership abilities, and a passion for Japanese cuisine and entertainment. The Hibachi Chef will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained. Experience in banquet, catering, or restaurant management is highly valued, along with a background in food production, menu planning, and team leadership.
Duties
- Prepare and cook hibachi-style dishes with precision and flair, entertaining guests with cooking demonstrations.
- Manage daily kitchen operations including food preparation, inventory control, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Oversee the entire food service process from ingredient sourcing to presentation, maintaining high-quality standards.
- Supervise and lead kitchen staff, providing training on food handling, safety protocols, and culinary techniques.
- Collaborate with management on menu planning and special event catering to meet customer expectations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock to minimize waste while ensuring availability of ingredients.
- Ensure excellent customer service by coordinating with front-of-house staff during service hours.
- Lead shift management duties including scheduling staff and overseeing daily operations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Hibachi Chef or similar role within fine dining or Japanese cuisine establishments.
- Supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Strong background in food production, culinary arts, and food safety practices.
- Experience with banquet service, catering, or restaurant management is advantageous.
- Knowledge of inventory management, menu planning, and kitchen operations.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and motivate staff.
- Familiarity with food industry standards including food handling, safety regulations, and hospitality best practices.

Base Pay: $2, $3,500.00 per month
