As the big sister restaurant to the beloved Tinta Y Cafe, Tin Tin promises an elevated dining experience for food enthusiasts.

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service, prepare and serve high-quality coffee and food items, and ensure a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about the food and beverage industry, with a focus on creating memorable experiences for customers. Prior experience in coffee service or food handling is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The position involves working in a fast-paced environment where excellent time management and multitasking skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Take customer orders accurately using POS systems
• Prepare and serve coffee beverages, teas, and food items following established recipes and safety standards
• Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change with basic math skills
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including food preparation areas and dining spaces
• Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
• Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations during shifts
• Assist in opening or closing duties as assigned to ensure the café's smooth operation
• Promote sales by upselling menu items when appropriate

Skills

• Experience with POS systems is highly desirable
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
• Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is preferred
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
• Basic math skills for cashiering, retail math, and cash handling responsibilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and serve customers effectively
