Jacobs is seeking an experienced
Senior Project Manager
with a passion for and strong background in Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) systems to lead complex transit projects from concept through design across the Mid-Atlantic and East Region. This is an opportunity to serve as a subject matter expert (SME), guiding clients and internal teams on innovative transit solutions that improve mobility and sustainability.
As a
Senior Project Manager
, you will bring your knowledge, experience, and ability to lead technical experts and apply innovative solutions in planning, design, construction, and operations to tackle transit challenges.
When you join us, you'll be responsible for the following
- Lead BRT Projects Manage all phases of BRT projects, including feasibility studies, planning, and preliminary design.
- Subject Matter Expertise Serve as the go-to resource for BRT design standards, operational strategies, and emerging innovative solutions
- Client Engagement Build and maintain strong relationships with transit agencies, municipalities, and stakeholders within the Mid-Atlantic and East Region
- Leadership Mentor and lead other transit staff and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, on-time, and on-budget projects.
- Technical Oversight Provide guidance on corridor planning, station design, traffic operations, and integration with multimodal systems.
- Quality & Compliance Ensure adherence to FTA guidelines, local regulations, and industry best practices.

Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, or related field.
- Substantial experience in transit planning and design, with a focus on BRT projects.
- Previous project management experience on transit projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities, including working with communities affected by transit projects.
Ideally, you'll also have
- Master's in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning or related field.
- Previous business development experience leveraging deep understanding of transit agency priorities

The base salary range for this position is $155,000.00 to $200, Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
