À propos
Following the success of our first location, we are thrilled to announce that Streetcar is expanding. We are bringing our love for craft pours and community connection to a brand-new second location in the heart of Germantown—and we need a founding team to help us pull the first pints.
While Streetcar Taps is an established concept, this new location is a blank canvas. We are looking for hospitality professionals who are excited to help us introduce our brand to the neighborhood. If you value a culture of excellence, have a passion for craft beverages, and want to work for a growing company with a proven track record, we'd love to have you on board.
We are currently hiring for:
Bartenders (Craft beer & spirits knowledge preferred)
Servers
Kitchen Team
Hospitality Leads
Why Join the Streetcar Team?
Stability: Join a proven concept with a successful sister location.
Growth: We prefer to promote from within as we continue to expand.
Culture: A fast-paced but supportive environment where your input matters.
Streetcar is expanding to Germantown, and we are looking for versatile, hardworking culinary pros to anchor our kitchen. Because we operate a small, highly efficient "scratch" kitchen, our Line Cooks are more than just station flippers—they are the heart of the entire back-of-house operation.
We are a team-first environment. There are no egos here; we all chip in to ensure the food is perfect, the kitchen is spotless, and the operation runs smoothly. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting where you can wear multiple hats, you'll fit right in.
Job DutiesCulinary Execution & Quality
- Line Excellence: Execute menu items with speed, consistency, and a high level of plating detail during high-volume shifts.
- Consistency: Follow recipes and build sheets exactly to ensure every guest gets the same great experience we've built our reputation on.
Prep & Portioning (The Foundation)
- Active Prep: Manage daily prep lists to ensure all stations are stocked for success.
- Precision Portioning: Handle portioning of proteins, sauces, and sides with accuracy to maintain quality control and minimize waste.
- Inventory Awareness: Monitor ingredient freshness and communicate low-stock items to the team.
The "Clean Team" Mentality (Dish & Sanitation)
- Dish Rotation: As part of a small kitchen team, everyone shares in the responsibility of dishwashing. You will help maintain a steady flow of clean cookware, plates, and utensils throughout the shift.
- Sanitation First: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized workstation at all times.
- Equipment Care: Properly clean and maintain kitchen equipment (fryers, grills, prep surfaces) to ensure longevity and safety.
The "Set Up for Success" Close
- Nightly Breakdown: Perform thorough closing duties, including breaking down the line, cleaning the pit, and ensuring all food is properly stored and labeled (FIFO).
- Final Sweep: Ensure the kitchen is left in "opening-ready" condition for the next day's crew.
- Team-First Attitude: You are happy to jump on the dish machine or help with prep if that's what the team needs.
- Agility: Ability to remain calm and focused in a small, fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Experience: Previous experience in a high-volume kitchen is preferred, but a great attitude and willingness to learn are our top priorities.
