Location: Austin, TX

Duration: 12+ Months (Contract/Temp with the possibility of extension)

Shift: 1st Shift (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)

Job Description:

We are seeking a
Senior Electrical Engineer
to support both
R&D and manufacturing
activities at an on-site facility in Texas. This role focuses on the design, testing, and lifecycle support of complex electrical systems used in advanced technology products. The ideal candidate is a
hands-on engineer
with strong electrical design and test experience who thrives in a regulated, product-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and test electrical components, assemblies, and systems

Perform electrical design activities including:

o Component selection

o Circuit design, simulation, and analysis

o Prototype evaluation and validation testing

o Unit-level, system-level, and lifecycle testing

Create and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, and technical product files

Execute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) for hardware, firmware, and embedded components

Support manufacturing and field issues through troubleshooting and root cause analysis

Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, software, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, and service teams

Work with contract manufacturing partners to support New Product Introduction (NPI)

Continuously improve product quality, reliability, and manufacturability

Upgrade and enhance existing products and electrical designs

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

7+ years
of hands-on electrical engineering experience

Strong background in
electrical design and test engineering

Experience designing and supporting
custom electrical assemblies

Proven ability to support products from concept through production

Strong troubleshooting and failure analysis skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work on-site in a lab and manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in
medical devices
or other highly regulated industries

Familiarity with regulated design controls and documentation

Experience with SAP or similar PLM/ECO systems

Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), serviceability, and reliability best practices
