School Social Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to join our educational team. Duties

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' social, emotional, and behavioral health to identify needs and develop tailored intervention plans.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on behavioral health, conflict management, cultural diversity counseling, and crisis intervention.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement classroom strategies that support students with special education needs or behavioral challenges.
• Assist students in navigating child protective services and child welfare systems when necessary, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Facilitate crisis management responses by providing immediate support during emergencies or traumatic incidents affecting students or staff.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with families to promote positive communication, cultural sensitivity, and family engagement in student success.
• Maintain detailed documentation of casework, interventions, and referrals while adhering to confidentiality standards and legal requirements.

Experience

• Proven experience working with children in educational or social service settings is essential.
• Demonstrated expertise in crisis intervention, crisis management, and behavioral health support.
• Knowledge of child protective services procedures, child welfare policies, and related legal frameworks.
• Background in special education or experience supporting students with diverse learning needs is highly desirable.
• Strong skills in conflict management, cultural diversity counseling, and social work practices are required.
• Prior experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including teachers, counselors, families, and community agencies is preferred.
• Familiarity with childcare principles and experience working with children from varied backgrounds will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Job Type: Contract

Pay: $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
