The Opportunity
Lesley University is seeking a self-motivated Recruiter to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the university's recruitment strategy and build relationships with prospective candidates. As a key member of our Talent Acquisition team, you will be responsible for overseeing the full-cycle recruitment process while ensuring an inclusive and engaging candidate experience from the initial screen process to offer negotiation.
Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Recruiter will lead full-cycle, high-volume recruitment across university departments. A key aspect of this role is actively sourcing and identifying top talent to meet the university's staffing needs. This includes building and maintaining candidate pipelines, managing search processes, supporting search committees, and coordinating interviews and offers. The Recruiter will work closely with hiring managers to understand their needs, effectively communicate Lesley's mission and benefits, and ensure equitable and inclusive hiring practices. The role also supports onboarding and contributes to the continuous improvement of recruitment strategies and processes.
Qualities and CapabilitiesThe successful candidate will have:
At least 3+ years of full-cycle, high-volume recruiting or related experience; facilitates an inclusive recruitment experience for candidates from initial screening through offer negotiation.
Exceptional communication (verbal and written), planning, organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and ablility to juggle shifting priorities and manage time effectively.
Ability to work across the university to create and implement initiatives that align and engage employees and candidates.
Proven ability to exercise good judgment and discretion.
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems (Workday experience preferred).
Demonstrated ability to effectively source passive candidates and build talent pools.
Proven capacity to learn and adapt to new recruitment processes and technologies.
A comprehensive knowledge of talent acquisition, human resources, employment laws, and regulations, normally obtained through a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration (or related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
