Firstrade Securities is seeking a Market Data Operations Analyst I to support the administration and governance of market data across the firm’s brokerage platforms. This role focuses on managing market data entitlements, coordinating with third-party vendors, and ensuring compliance with exchange rules, vendor licensing requirements, and internal controls.
The analyst will work closely with internal teams including Operations, Sales, Account Management, Technology, and Compliance to support accurate entitlement setup, policy interpretation, and audit readiness within a regulated broker-dealer environment.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with both new and existing clients to facilitate and streamline the market data entitlement onboarding process.
* Coordinate third-party source approvals and ensure compliance with vendor policies.
* Maintain accurate records of client entitlements and approvals.
* Partner with Sales and Account Management teams to provide market data guidance to a diverse business clientele.
* Advise on market data pricing models, licensing obligations and non-standard product reviews.
* Assist in interpreting complex data usage scenarios and recommending compliant solutions.
* Monitor and interpret market data source policy changes from exchanges and vendors.
* Assess the impact of policy updates on existing client entitlements and take appropriate action.
* Communicate policy changes effectively to both internal and external stakeholders.
* Maintain proprietary and third-party source rules within internal databases and entitlement systems.
* Ensure data accuracy and consistency across entitlement platforms.
* Support audits and compliance reviews by providing documentation and system insights.
Knowledge and Experience
* Bachelor’s Degree preferred (or equivalent industry experience in lieu of a college degree)
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
* A proactive nature and approach to learning, problem identification and problem resolution
* The ability to think, and work, both independently and within a team environment
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (incl. Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft excel)
* Experience with entitlement systems or databases is beneficial.
* Familiarity with market data vendors and licensing models (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv, ICE Data Services) is a plus.
* Prior internship or work experience in financial services, client operations or data governance is a plus.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
