Responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships with existing commercial customers while generating new business opportunities. Provides on-site recommendations, solutions, and product expertise across all Kendell opening solutions, divisions, and services. Executes strategic sales plans to meet organizational goals for customer growth, satisfaction, and revenue. Works collaboratively with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met and company objectives are achieved. Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to drive sales growth and client satisfaction. Sell Division 8 and Division 10 commercial solutions to general contractors, end users, and other partners. Identify customer needs, specifications, and compliance requirements to recommend accurate product solutions. Manage existing accounts and pursue new opportunities within assigned territory. Conduct site visits and walkthroughs to assess project needs and take field measurements. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to provide technical support and product recommendations. Execute annual sales strategies, track performance, and identify areas for improvement. Attend industry events and trade shows to strengthen market presence and generate leads. Prepare sales and expense reports accurately and on time. Maintain product and technical knowledge through ongoing training and professional development. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. Work Relationships and Scope
Works closely with other Outside Sales Representatives, Estimators, and internal departments including Shop, Accounting, Keying, and Shipping/Receiving. Maintains regular communication with external partners such as clients, general contractors, architects, and distributor account representatives. Qualifications
Minimum five years of sales experience, preferably within the construction or distribution industry. Strong interpersonal, customer relations, and negotiation skills. Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, influence decisions, and close sales. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database applications. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Professional written and verbal communication skills. Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, percentages, decimals, and fractions). Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently or collaboratively.
