Summary
Kitty Yoga LA seeks a certified and motivated Mat Pilates Instructor to lead cat-assisted Pilates classes. The instructor will guide participants through mindful, core-focused sessions that balance strength, posture, and flexibility while maintaining a calm, cat-friendly space.

Duties

• Lead structured Pilates mat classes incorporating controlled movement, breathing, and alignment.
• Ensure all sequences are safe for participants and the cats present in the studio.
• Adapt exercises for all skill levels, providing clear modifications and form corrections.
• Maintain a relaxed atmosphere where cats can interact safely with guests during sessions.
• Educate participants on body mechanics, posture, and mindfulness principles.
• Support community engagement by encouraging interaction and respect between guests and cats.
• Oversee setup and cleanup of mats and props; ensure hygiene and safety standards.
• Assist in member engagement and promotion of future classes or workshops.
• Stay current with Pilates education and animal-assisted wellness trends.

Qualifications

• Certification in Mat Pilates
• Proven experience teaching group fitness or Pilates classes.
• Understanding of anatomy, physiology, and safe movement sequencing.
• Calm, professional presence around animals; comfort teaching in a shared cat environment.
• Strong communication and demonstration skills.
• CPR/AED certification preferred.
• Prior experience in yoga, dance, or wellness instruction an asset.

Environment
Classes are conducted in the presence of kittens under supervision. Instructor must ensure participant and animal safety at all times while promoting a tranquil, inclusive experience.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $50.00 per hour
