Role Description & Schedule

Summer Springboard is recruiting an innovative and dynamic individual to deliver a hands-on course in Animation for our pre-college summer program for high school students. You will deliver the course for two 2-week sessions from 9am-12pm for a total of 9 days per session, plus two afternoons of academic excursions (around 30 hours). The course will be hosted in a classroom on the UCLA campus between June 22, 2026 and July 17, sessions/groups of students).

You will be responsible for delivering engaging course material, mentoring students, and facilitating hands-on projects. Day-to-day tasks include preparing lesson plans, presenting key material, guiding students through practical applications, evaluating student progress, and providing feedback.

Qualifications

• Experience and expertise in animation
• Experience in curriculum development
• Strong communication, teaching, and presentation skills
• Ability to mentor and inspire high school students
• Familiarity with current animation software and practices
