Summary
HR Green is seeking a
strategic and dynamic leader
to serve as
Group Director – Engineering Services
within our
Municipal Services Business Unit
, overseeing teams across
California, Colorado, and North Texas
. In this role, you will work closely with the
Business Unit President
to drive
innovation, operational excellence, and business growth
within Engineering Services.

You will lead and develop a high-performing team, ensuring the successful delivery of municipal engineering services while overseeing financial performance, business development, and market expansion. A strong focus on
strategic growth and client relationship management
is essential, as you will play a key role in strengthening HR Green's presence and identifying new opportunities.

Collaboration is at the heart of this position—you'll work alongside other leaders, Group Leaders, and Managers to foster staff development and ensure the team has the resources and expertise needed for success. Additionally, you may manage key projects and contracts while engaging with Business Units and other client initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Operations

  • Aligns project management, service delivery, and resource planning with the strategic and business goals of the Engineering Services Group.
  • Monitors group performance and collaborates with Business Units Operations to implement corrective actions that ensure financial and operational success.
  • Works closely with Leaders, Directors, and other Leaders to expand service offerings and strengthen HR Green's market presence.
  • Manages the financial aspects of the group, including sales, revenue growth, and profit margins, to achieve business objectives.
  • Supports additional operational initiatives as assigned by the Business Unit President.

Strategic Management

  • Drives performance to meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including Engineering Gross Margin, Sales, Revenues, Utilization, and Accounts Receivable.
  • Partners with the Business Unit President to develop and manage the annual Engineering Services budget, ensuring top and bottom-line revenue growth.
  • Actively participates in Business Unit leadership meetings to align group strategy with overall business objectives.

Employee Development & Team Leadership

  • Identifies skills and competencies required to meet client and business needs, working closely with Group Leaders and HR to recruit and retain top talent.
  • Oversees performance management and staff development, setting clear team goals and providing ongoing feedback, coaching, and mentorship.
  • Collaborates Group Leaders and managers to conduct effective Mid-Year and Annual Performance Evaluations and ensure staff members meet their professional development goals.
  • Facilitates regular team meetings to discuss resource needs, technical challenges, and best practices.

Business Development & Client Engagement

  • Supports proposal development, including Statements of Qualifications (SOQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and client interviews.
