POSITION OVERVIEW

St. Mark's Presbyterian Church is seeking a Church Administrator to coordinate the work of our church office. This is a part-time, salaried position averaging 30-32 hours per week annually, with an anticipated start date of January 2026. The Church Administrator reports to the Lead Pastor/Head of Staff and serves as the central hub for our church's administrative operations and communications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the Lead Pastor and ministry teams
  • Oversee church office operations, including training and supervision of office volunteers
  • Schedule facility use, approve room rentals, and coordinate fee collection
  • Maintain church records and serve as the primary point of contact for office visitors
  • Produce weekly emails, monthly newsletters, worship guides, and all church digital and printed materials
  • Manage church communications across multiple platforms, including social media, email distribution, and printed materials
  • Handle basic bookkeeping tasks including preparing payments and reimbursements, tracking employee leave, reconciling church credit card, distributing paychecks, and coordinating with our contracted accounting firm for payroll
  • Work with the Facilities Coordinator and Admin Team to coordinate building and grounds maintenance
  • Coordinate and provide administrative support for memorial and funeral services held at the church

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with faith communities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), Canva, and Google products
  • Strong computer proficiency and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Proven organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with diverse groups of people
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work both independently and collaboratively

Pay: $33, $38,000.00 per year
