Job Description:

Effectively manages a team of 12-16 direct reports, providing guidance and support. Maintains current knowledge and skills related to the Care Advocate role, adhering to professional and ethical standards. Reviews Care Advocate work, including real-time monitoring of communication, to ensure adherence to standards and workflows. Manages patient comments, concerns, and requests empathetically and effectively to ensure a positive consumer experience. Builds and maintains relationships with healthcare provider practices and leaders to strengthen the reputation and value proposition of Care Advocacy. Resolves consumer escalations promptly, keeping both the consumer and Care Advocate team informed throughout the process. Connects consumers with necessary services within the organization, managing processes across the institution. Conducts biweekly one-on-one meetings with Care Advocates to discuss performance and provide coaching and mentorship. Oversees downline time and attendance, including coverage, timesheets, documentation, and follow-up coaching or corrective action. Continuously reviews Care Advocate and Supervisor workflows to identify areas for improvement and efficiency. Identifies talent development opportunities and creates customized learning paths for individual development. Manages stressful situations independently, prioritizing consumer needs in decision-making. Other duties as assigned.
