Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment within manufacturing facilities.
• Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and precision measuring instruments to identify issues accurately.
• Conduct electrical work involving low voltage and high voltage systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electricians' tasks, and control panel diagnostics.
• Manage maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to schedule repairs, record service history, and track asset performance.
• Diagnose mechanical problems related to hydraulics, pneumatics, welding (including welding), HVAC/R systems, and other industrial components.
• Operate various field equipment such as scissor lifts and forklifts safely to access elevated or hard-to-reach areas during service calls.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about technical issues, solutions, and maintenance procedures.
• Support technical sales efforts by offering expert advice on equipment upgrades or replacements based on client needs.
• Follow safety protocols diligently when working with high voltage systems or in hazardous environments within manufacturing settings.
• Analyze system performance data to recommend improvements that enhance efficiency and reliability across manufacturing processes.

Experience

• Proven experience working in an industrial mechanic or industrial electrician role within a manufacturing facility environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in maintenance of complex machinery involving hydraulics, HVAC/R, welding, and precision instruments.

Pay: $ $33.00 per hour
