Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Travel Contract
Location: Redding, California
Contract Type: Travel Contract (13 Weeks)
Shift Type: AM – 10 Hour Day Shifts
Hours per Week: 40 Hours

We are actively hiring an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join an acute care team in Redding, CA. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced clinical environment while making a meaningful impact on patient recovery and communication outcomes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans
• Treat patients with neurological, medical, and post-surgical conditions
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapy teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR
• Educate patients and families on communication and swallowing strategies

Qualifications:

• Active California Speech Language Pathologist license
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience
• Current BLS certification
• COVID vaccination certification required

Education:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong dysphagia management and bedside swallow evaluation skills
• Excellent clinical reasoning and critical thinking abilities
• Effective communication and patient education skills
