About the RoleAs a Mechanical Designer 2, you'll take designs to the next level. You'll work closely with Project Engineers and Project Teams to create detailed 3D parts and assemblies, develop top-level drawings, and ensure every component is production-ready. This role is perfect for designers who enjoy juggling multiple projects, thrive on accuracy, and love seeing their designs evolve from screen to shop floor.
What You'll DoCreate 3D parts and assemblies using SolidWorks and PDM Vault
Develop top-level assembly drawings for customer approval and manufacturing
Generate production drawings, including flat patterns and weldments
Collaborate with engineers and project teams to meet design and fabrication requirements
Manage your design workload to meet manufacturing deadlines
Partner with production teams to ensure quality and manufacturability
Support process improvements and contribute to continuous innovation
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, or CAD Drafting
Experience with SolidWorks 3D modeling and PDM Vault (SolidWorks 2021 or newer preferred)
Strong knowledge of mechanical drafting principles, dimensioning methods, and fabrication processes
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and consistency
Familiarity with industrial equipment design and metal fabrication is a big plus
