WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- 2+ years of experience in the transportation field
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent amount of work experience
- Ability to work onsite 5 days per week
- Ability to work independently, coordinate with a team, and support multiple projects simultaneously
- Physical ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated analysis and problem-solving skills
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience using Geotab software would be a bonus
MATERIAL HANDLING EQUIPMENT
This role may involve operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE). The company supplies and mandates training and certification on each individual piece of equipment prior to permissible use. Use of any equipment by an employee on which they are not trained and certified may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
As our Transportation Operations Analyst, you will:
- Review current routes, schedules, service capabilities, and customer profiles to identify areas for improvement
- Evaluate weekly and monthly metrics and use this information to increase daily efficiency and profitability
- Research the root cause of recurring issues/trends and take steps to fix the problem
- Coordinate with the IT team to implement system improvements
- Help create and execute new quality and cost control strategies
- Use software such as Geotab
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned
