Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Role Overview As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will lead project delivery, oversee high-quality electrical design outputs, and act as a key technical specialist within a fully integrated M&E environment. Working closely with both mechanical and electrical designers, you will ensure full cross-disciplinary coordination while driving technical excellence across all project stages — particularly within premium hospitality and hotel projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead electrical design delivery from concept through to detailed design, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client expectations.
Conduct and oversee site surveys, providing expert assessments and guiding junior team members in data collection and analysis.
Produce and review design models, drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Carry out quality checks on electrical deliverables, ensuring consistency, technical integrity, and alignment with project requirements.
Manage and nurture client relationships, acting as the primary point of technical contact throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring seamless integration between mechanical and electrical systems.
Act as a subject matter expert within cross-functional teams, advising on best practice, design strategy, and system coordination.
Mentor junior and intermediate engineers, offering guidance on design methodologies, standards, and professional development.
Oversee project programmes, design deliverables, and resource planning to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.
Support construction, commissioning, and handover activities by providing expert technical guidance and reviewing installations.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement through design reviews, value engineering, and knowledge sharing across the team.
