Summary: Join us as a Network Engineer focused on In-Rack Power Solutions, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and scalability of our global network infrastructure. This position offers you the chance to oversee the lifecycle of innovative in-rack power products, from supplier selection through deployment and operational support. Your expertise will directly enhance infrastructure availability and set new standards for power visibility and incident prevention across our expansive network, including edge sites and data centers. Responsibilities: Product Lifecycle Management:
Lead the entire lifecycle of in-rack power products, managing everything from initial concept to end-of-life planning.
Supply Chain Partnership:
Collaborate with hardware platform teams and sourcing departments to develop a robust supplier network that meets our operational needs.
Rack Power Standards:
Establish and uphold the standards for rack power, including technical specifications, testing requirements, and configuration guidelines.
Documentation:
Create and update essential technical documentation for power solutions to ensure clear communication and consistent practices.
Installation & Serviceability:
Develop detailed runbooks to ensure efficient installation and maintenance procedures for in-rack power systems.
Monitoring:
Enhance our power monitoring capabilities by deploying advanced smart in-rack power distribution units (PDUs) to proactively address potential issues.
Troubleshooting:
Maintain comprehensive troubleshooting guides for addressing power and environmental issues in our data centers and edge sites.
Cross-functional Execution:
Work alongside design and planning engineers to ensure effective execution of network and compute infrastructure projects, adhering to our power standards and requirements.
Program Management:
Oversee project timelines and risks to guarantee on-time deliveries across initiatives.
Continuous Improvement:
Utilize insights from past projects to drive enhancements in processes and product quality.
Travel:
Expect up to 20% travel based on project needs.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of experience with rack-level power products in data center environments.
Strong knowledge of power distribution and monitoring systems, specifically smart PDUs.
Understanding of electrical fundamentals, AC/DC concepts, and reading electrical single-line diagrams.
Familiarity with industry standards and practices relevant to data center electrical configurations.
Proven project management experience with a track record in delivering technical projects.
Strong planning, prioritization, and communication skills, with experience in cross-functional team collaboration.
Basic understanding of networking concepts and their impact on infrastructure design.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience leading supplier selection and new product introduction, including validation and rollout at scale.
Expertise in power product sourcing and managing supplier performance.
Knowledge of installation procedures and quality assurance in data center environments.
Experience in defining and implementing processes across the full lifecycle from design to operations.
Background in supporting edge/colocation environments and collaborating with facility partners.
Skills in automating workflows and creating monitoring dashboards using scripting languages.
Compensation: $135,000/year to $191,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits Industry:
