Join Our Compassionate Team and Help Us Prioritize Health The Senior Application Solutions Architect at Humana is a pivotal role focused on designing and developing IT architecture solutions that tackle complex business challenges while aligning with Humana's enterprise technology standards. This position emphasizes application modernization, secure automation, and the adoption of reusable architectures. You will collaborate with enterprise teams to enhance security, operational excellence, and cost-effective solutions across the organization. Specifically, this role supports Humana's corporate Legal technology needs. Partnering with the Lead Application Architect, you will design modern, secure, scalable applications and guide engineering teams through implementation. Key Responsibilities Design comprehensive application architectures (UI, API, data integrations, security). Create detailed architecture diagrams, design documents, and reusable patterns across cloud, SaaS, AI, and legacy systems. Provide technical leadership to development teams and conduct thorough design and code reviews. Ensure all solutions adhere to enterprise standards for security, scalability, and resiliency. Support projects throughout the SDLC and collaborate with DevOps, Security, Cloud, and Data teams. Participate in Proofs of Concept (POCs) and technology evaluations. Coordinate issue resolution with production support teams. Use Your Expertise to Make a Difference Required Qualifications 6+ years in application development, with at least 2 years focused on architecture or technical design. Strong experience with modern technology stacks (React/Angular, .NET/Java/Python/Node). Knowledge of Azure cloud services, containers, APIs, and CI/CD practices. Understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) including Azure AD and secret management with HashiCorp Vault. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Preferred Skills Experience with AI/ML-enabled applications, RAG, or automation platforms. Background in cloud migrations, legacy modernization, and event-driven architectures. Familiarity with enterprise domains like Compliance, HR, Finance, Legal, or Risk. Additional Information Work-At-Home Requirements Must have a high-speed DSL or cable modem for home office use; internet expense payment will be provided for California residents. A minimum standard speed of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required. Satellite and wireless internet services are not permitted for this role. A dedicated workspace free from ongoing interruptions to safeguard member PHI/HIPAA information. Travel : This is a remote position, but occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be necessary. Scheduled Weekly Hours
40 Compensation Range : The compensation range reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time employment. The pay range may vary based on geographic location, and individual pay will differ based on skills, knowledge, experience, education, and certifications. $106,900 - $147,000 per year. This position is also eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
