Are you an experienced scientist with a passion for process development and innovation? Smart4Sciences is supporting a pioneering pharmaceutical organisation in the search for a Process Development Scientist to join their growing Process Development team. The Role This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key part in developing and optimising next‑generation solid‑dose vaccine manufacturing processes. You will be invloved in laboratory-based experimentation, ensure high-quality scientific output that advances both internal projects and external collaborations. Success in this role means driving robust, scalable process development while contributing to scientific excellence. Key Responsibilities: Lead, plan and execute laboratory experiments to develop a robust, efficient, and scalable manufacturing process for solid‑dose vaccines. Accurately execute, record and report scientific work including data analysis, protocols, technical documents and status updates. Support batch manufacturing activities and coordinate cross‑functionally to ensure smooth project delivery. Contribute to technology transfer activities to CDMOs and work at partner sites when required. Stay current with relevant scientific literature and apply new insights while protecting intellectual property. Communicate effectively across departments to ensure alignment on project goals. Maintain rigorous documentation within a quality system. Follow Health & Safety standards and promote safe working practices. About You ✔ BSc/BEng in a relevant science or engineering discipline ✔ Experience with powder blending, tabletting ✔ Significant experience in pharmaceutical process development or manufacturing ✔ Minimum of 2 year's hands-on lab experience in an R&D environment ✔ Strong analytical, organisational, and documentation skills ✔ Ability to lead experiments and interpret complex data ✔ Collaborative, proactive, and committed to scientific excellence You'll be joining an innovative team where your expertise will directly shape future vaccine manufacturing technologies.
