Our Houston, Texas facility is looking for a highly organized Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory records. This vital role ensures the integrity of our stock, minimizing discrepancies and optimizing warehouse operations. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, from receiving to shipping. Your key duties will include:
- Conducting regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Implementing and maintaining inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Monitoring stock levels and reordering points to ensure adequate supply.
- Analyzing inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Coordinating with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth flow of goods.
- Ensuring proper storage and handling of all inventory items.
- Maintaining accurate records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Training and guiding other team members on inventory control procedures.
The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with inventory management software. Experience in **logistics** or warehouse environments is highly desirable. This position requires the ability to perform moderate **lifting** (up to 30 pounds) and a strong commitment to workplace **safety**. You will be expected to use appropriate **PPE** at all times while on the warehouse floor. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a key role in inventory management within a growing company.
