Job Title: Long-Term Care Facility Maintenance

Location: Gateway Living, 611 N Cloverleaf Loop, Springfield, OR 97477

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Thursday, 7:00 am - 5:30 pm

Salary: $ $25.31 per hour (DOE)

Bonus: $1,000 Sign-on Bonus

Gateway Adult Residential Care operates multiple 24/7 residential care facilities dedicated to providing compassionate care to adults struggling with mental health issues, including Dementia, Alzheimer's, brain injuries, challenging behaviors, and aging-related needs. Position Summary:

Are you skilled in maintenance and passionate about creating a safe and well-maintained environment for others? As Facility Maintenance, you will perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance tasks and coordinate with the Facility Maintenance Specialist/Director or tradespeople. Your responsibilities will include general labor, painting, plumbing, carpentry, equipment maintenance and repair, routine electrical work that does not require a license, preventative maintenance, and overall care of our campuses. This role is crucial for ensuring a safe and functional environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:
  • Ensure a preventative maintenance program standard is met.
  • Assist the Facility Maintenance Specialist or Director with facility needs.
  • Report campus needs to the Facility Maintenance Specialist or Director.
  • Monitor monthly water temperature control.
  • Ensure all house equipment is in working condition.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Maintain a safe working environment for residents and staff.
  • Ensure all available rooms are to viewing standards.
  • Ensure all fire safety equipment is within safe guidelines.
  • Participate in training required by accreditation standards and performance and quality improvement efforts.
  • Administrative Duties:
  • Assist in ordering stock and monitor supply equipment.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with the policies and procedures guiding the work of this position.
  • Operate campus vehicles.
  • Attend department meetings.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance in a general maintenance capacity.
  • Basic grounds maintenance knowledge.
  • Experience working in an adult residential care facility or a facility serving persons with dementia.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Obtain and keep current First Aid and Food Handlers Card.
  • Maintain the required annual training hours.
  • Obtain an Oregon Driver's License within the first 15 days of hire.
