Delivery Driver/Warehouse Assistant/ Class A CDL

General Job Description:

This position Requires a Class A Commercial Driver's License.

The job of Delivery Driver/Warehouse Assistant is to provide support to the warehousing operations with specific responsibilities of transporting orders to construction sites; ensuring safe operation of vehicles; and proper loading and unloading procedures.

The job will also require an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Delivers a variety of items to PSM Job-sites & Locations distributing items from internal or external sources over scheduled and/or unscheduled routes.
• Drives vehicles (e.g. truck/trailer combos, van, forklift, bobcat etc.) for loading, unloading & transporting orders and materials to designated sites.
• Assists in loading & unloading delivery trucks for shipping & receiving stock.
• Sorts and places materials or items on designated racks, shelves or bins according to organizational standards.
• Processes requests and supply orders. Pulling materials, packing boxes, and preparing orders for delivery.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat.

Skills & Specifications:

• Must adhere to all company safety practices.
• Employee will be required to operate equipment used in warehouse/delivery activities; and must have the ability to operate standard office equipment including using computer software applications, GPS, tablets, etc.
• Class A or B license not required but preferred, must be willing to obtain if requested.
• Must have excellent communication, time management, and teamwork skills.

Education & Qualifications:.

• High school diploma.
• Must hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• Experience as a delivery driver is helpful but not required.
• Ability to regularly lift/move objects 10-50 lbs., and occasionally lift/move up to 70 lbs.
• Frequently required to stand, walk stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, balance or crawl.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a DOT Physical
