About the role

Network Operations Center Lead

Location :

Role Summary

  • The NOC Lead is responsible for managing day-to-day command center operations across hybrid IT environments (network, server, storage, firewall, applications, on-prem and cloud).
  • This role ensures alerts are monitored, triaged, escalated, and resolved within SLAs.
  • The Lead trains and mentors the team, drives continuous improvements in SOPs and automation, and acts as the primary operational interface with client stakeholders.

Experience

  • Onshore: 8+ years
  • Mandatory 24x7 rotational shift readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Monitoring & Incident Operations

  • Oversee real-time monitoring of infrastructure, platforms, and services using Datadog, Splunk, Zabbix, Grafana.
  • Own adherence to SLA for alert acknowledgement, triage, and ticket lifecycle management.
  • Lead severity assessment, impact analysis, and ensure appropriate escalation to L2/L3 teams or vendors.
  • Drive end-to-end incident communication with stakeholders, business leaders, and client teams.

Technical Execution

  • Perform deep triage of alerts across network, compute, storage, firewall, and application layers.
  • Execute SOP-defined remediation steps, trigger automation workflows, and validate outcomes.
  • Review and update SOPs, runbooks, and triage guides for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support agent deployment on internal agentic / automation platforms.

Automation & Scripting

  • Guide the team in building/maintaining scripts (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks.
  • Identify repetitive processes and prioritize automation opportunities.
  • Review code/scripts delivered by engineers and ensure version control and documentation standards.

People Management & Governance

  • Mentor senior engineers and engineers; own training plans, skill upliftment, and shadowing models.
  • Monitor daily operational KPIs (MTTA, MTTR, SLA adherence, volume, patterns).
  • Prepare and present weekly/monthly operational dashboards, health reports, RCA summaries.
  • Maintain shift rosters, ensure coverage, and act as escalation point during critical incidents.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Datadog, Splunk, Zabbix, Grafana, and ITSM tools (ServiceNow preferred).
  • Strong understanding of network fundamentals, OS (Windows/Linux), cloud basics (AWS/Azure/GCP), firewalls, storage systems.
  • Ability to guide and review automation using Python/PowerShell/Bash.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Salary Range:
The salary for this position is between $100,000 to $112,000 USD annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
