Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chef / Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee daily kitchen operations. This role requires a passionate culinary professional with strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a commitment to excellence in food quality and safety. The ideal candidate will manage menu planning, food preparation, inventory control, and ensure a high standard of service in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to influence the culinary direction of our establishment while maintaining a focus on hospitality and customer satisfaction.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, servers, and ensuring smooth shift management and team coordination
  • Oversee food production, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste
  • Develop and update menus with innovative dishes
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
  • Monitor food handling procedures to uphold safety standards across all kitchen operations
  • Train staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and service standards
  • Collaborate with management on marketing efforts for special events or promotions

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Italian and restaurant management with strong culinary skills
  • Supervising experience in a busy kitchen or hospitality environment
  • Expertise in food production, menu planning, inventory management, and food safety practices
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
  • Strong background in food service management including shift management and kitchen operations
  • Excellent communication skills combined with a passion for hospitality excellence
  • Culinary experience in the food industry with a focus on quality cuisine and customer satisfaction
  • Familiarity with restaurant experience including serving standards and bartending is advantageous
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
