Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chef / Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee daily kitchen operations. This role requires a passionate culinary professional with strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a commitment to excellence in food quality and safety. Duties
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, servers, and ensuring smooth shift management and team coordination
- Oversee food production, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste
- Develop and update menus with innovative dishes
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
- Monitor food handling procedures to uphold safety standards across all kitchen operations
- Train staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and service standards
- Collaborate with management on marketing efforts for special events or promotions
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Italian and restaurant management with strong culinary skills
- Supervising experience in a busy kitchen or hospitality environment
- Expertise in food production, menu planning, inventory management, and food safety practices
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Strong background in food service management including shift management and kitchen operations
- Excellent communication skills combined with a passion for hospitality excellence
- Culinary experience in the food industry with a focus on quality cuisine and customer satisfaction
- Familiarity with restaurant experience including serving standards and bartending is advantageous
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
