Carpenters assistant

Job Summary
30 year family business with established clientele seeking capable carpenter's assistant. General remodeling of kitchens, baths, windows, siding, flooring. Working in support of the lead tech, the successful applicant needs reliable transportation, personal hand tools, eagerness to learn and grow into a lead tech, the ability to keep your phone in your pocket (and your hands out). Non-smoker. We've been buying, selling, and remodeling real estate for decades: the opportunity can soar far above a 'pay check.' 30 day trial period at $18/hr to see if we are a good fit for each other, and of course you'll be protected by worker's compensation insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist carpenters with measuring, cutting, and assembling materials using hand tools and power tools
• Support framing, trim carpentry, siding, door hanging, and fixture installation tasks
• Prepare construction sites by organizing materials and setting up scaffolding or ladders
• Perform heavy lifting and manual labor to move materials and equipment safely on-site
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols

Qualifications

• Prior experience or familiarity with construction site activities is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
• Physical strength and stamina to perform demanding tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged standing
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
• Experience in related trades such as drywall installation, flooring, roofing, plumbing, electrical work or restoration industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory

Pay: $ $22.00 per hour
