Job Overview
We are seeking a versatile and experienced General Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad skill set across various trades, including carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and restoration. This role requires a proactive individual capable of managing multiple projects on-site, interpreting blueprints, and utilizing a wide range of hand and power tools. The position offers opportunities to work on diverse projects such as remodeling, new construction, repairs, and restoration industry tasks.

Duties

  • Perform construction tasks including framing, drywall installation, roofing, siding, and flooring installation.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute project plans accurately.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools for precise carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical wiring, and fixture installation.
  • Conduct concrete forming, rebar installation, metal stud framing, and drywall finishing.
  • Engage in water damage restoration, mold remediation, plastering, caulking, stucco application, and water damage repair.
  • Assist with fabrication tasks such as cabinetry assembly or custom fixture creation.
  • Install doors, windows, cabinetry, fixtures, siding, and other structural or aesthetic components.
  • Perform heavy lifting safely to move materials or equipment as needed on-site.
  • Follow safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met efficiently.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction estimating and project planning is preferred.
  • Strong background in carpentry (trim carpentry, frame carpentry), masonry (masonry work), roofing (roofing installation), and general construction practices.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools (hammers, saws) and power tools (drills, saws).
  • Experience with blueprint reading and schematics interpretation for accurate project execution.
  • Knowledge of restoration processes including water damage remediation and mold removal industry standards.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or in confined spaces as required.
  • Familiarity with metal stud framing, drywall finishing, tile laying, flooring installation, electrical wiring basics, plumbing systems, and HVAC systems is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing project needs. Pay: $ $35.00 per hour
