Here’s what you’ll do for us
You’ll apply your creative and conceptual experience to deliver copy across multiple financial products
You’ll work across a range of media including mail packs, inserts, press ads, door drops, TV, radio, META, webcopy, email and more
Our business is almost entirely direct‑marketing focused so you’ll need to be comfortable with copy designed to provoke action.
You’ll build a passionate understanding of how to engage the over‑50s customer
You’ll be able to flex between different products such as life insurance, equity release, funeral plans, travel insurance and general insurance
You’ll build challenging creative that engages our customers to respond and buy
You’ll be quick to take a brief and produce relevant, customer‑centric copy
You’ll quickly be able to understand the Regulatory Guidelines for our industry, which will be applied to your copy

How you’ll be successful
You’ll brainstorm your copy ideas and concepts with the experts around you
You’ll be flexible to work across different media channels
You’ll champion the SunLife tone of voice which will shine through in your copy
You’ll seek out opportunities to learn about the customer and draw on the knowledge around you to support your understanding
You’ll demonstrate flexibility in how you manage your workload and priorities
You’ll have an eye on competitor copy with ideas of how to gain the edge
You’ll demonstrate an inquisitive mind that enables you to get to the nub of the brief
You’ll work with Compliance to ensure copy meets regulatory requirements
You’ll quality control your own work to ensure minimal re‑work is required.

What we want you to bring to the table
Long copy experience
Expert skills of accurate, concise and correct copy
Direct marketing experience, with an understanding of how to drive response
Experience in financial services products & environment (desirable)
Confident and assured to deal with stakeholders
Adaptable and flexible to cope with changing business needs
Strong communication skills
Ability to organise and prioritise workload
Stamina to work to tight deadlines
