2nd Shift Production Supervisor

Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead our manufacturing team during evening hours. In this vital role, you will oversee daily production operations, ensure safety standards are maintained, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your leadership will help foster a productive, efficient, and safe work environment where quality and teamwork thrive. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence manufacturing excellence on the second shift, ensuring products are manufactured efficiently and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the daily management of employees for their shift within the facility.
• Expected to meet the production, quality, and safety needs set by management.
• Maintaining an efficient workplace by assigning jobs and duties in a fair and equitable manner.
• Responsible for enforcing all Suhner, federal, state and local guidelines, policies, and safety regulations.
• Responsible for corrective actions.
• Responsible for creating an environment for personal growth and development of the employees.
• Responsible for attending supervisor meetings.
• Conducting shift kick off meetings including production expectations and feedback for previous days productivity.
• This position requires learning how the equipment operates in a hands-on methodology.
• Other task assigned by management and/or their production managers.
• Reports directly to the Production Managers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Supervisory/managerial experience required.
• Must demonstrate computer skills: ERP and payroll data entry, MS Office
• Good analytical and organizational skills.
• Good management and leadership skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
• Ability to be an effective team member.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to understand and use ERP system
• Ability to use/understand measuring tools & test fixtures (torque test, optical comparator, torque wrench, micrometers, calipers)

Physical Demands of job:

• Able to stand and walk for at least 2 hours without resting
• Able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
