We are looking for a skilled and experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our advanced logistics facility in Madison, Wisconsin. In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your precision and adherence to safety standards will ensure the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. This position is ideal for individuals with a proven track record in operating specialized warehouse equipment and a dedication to workplace Safety.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to transport, move, load, and unload materials.
- Place pallets and materials in appropriate storage locations within the warehouse.
- Accurately pick orders based on pick lists and ensure correct item and quantity.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on the reach truck and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring clear pathways and adherence to Safety guidelines.
- Utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while operating machinery and on the warehouse floor.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock verification.
- The ability to perform occasional Lifting of up to 40 lbs may be required for tasks outside of reach truck operation.
- Follow all company Safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize warehouse operations.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics and distribution processes.
- Ensure that all moved inventory is handled with care to prevent damage.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to the team's success.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work atmosphere is essential.
- This role is fundamental to our logistics chain and requires meticulous attention to detail.
Qualifications:
Proven experience operating a reach truck is required. Valid certification for reach truck operation is essential. Previous warehouse or logistics experience is highly desirable. Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and protocols.
