Exciting opportunity for an Order Picker at our busy Seattle, Washington facility! As an Order Picker, you will be a key player in our logistics chain, responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role requires speed, accuracy, and a strong attention to detail to ensure that the right items are picked, packed, and sent out promptly. You will work within a fast-paced environment, contributing to the overall success of our distribution operations. We are committed to maintaining a safe and efficient workplace for all team members.
Responsibilities:
- Locate and pick products from warehouse shelves based on order lists.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure accuracy.
- Pack picked items securely for shipment.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other lifting devices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any discrepancies or damaged items to a supervisor.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Meet established productivity and quality standards.
- Must be comfortable with frequent lifting of items weighing up to 35 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order pick lists and product labels.
- Basic math skills for quantity verification.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Familiarity with logistics and order fulfillment processes is beneficial.
