Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our bustling distribution center in Portland, Oregon. Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move goods.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
  • Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items to and from production and storage areas.
  • Conduct daily pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
  • Assist in maintaining an organized and clean warehouse environment, free from hazards.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
  • Participate in inventory counts and assist with stock management.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support the overall logistics and supply chain processes of the company.
  • Comply with all company regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • Certification for forklift operation is required.
  • Ability to handle substantial lifting, typically up to 50 lbs.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
  • Proficiency in logistics and inventory management systems is a plus.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be reliable and punctual, with a strong commitment to safety.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings.
