Job Summary:
Are you passionate about maintaining order and accuracy within a high-volume warehouse? Our Miami, Florida facility is looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to oversee and manage our inventory with precision. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient flow of goods, minimizing stock discrepancies, and supporting overall warehouse operations. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, performing physical inventory audits, investigating and resolving stock variances, and implementing strategies to improve inventory accuracy. You will work closely with the receiving, put-away, and order fulfillment teams to ensure seamless inventory management. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles is essential. This position requires individuals who are detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in identifying and solving problems. Safety is a top priority; adherence to all safety guidelines and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This role demands physical stamina, including the ability to perform frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs, and standing for extended periods. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory records.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance inventory accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
  • Manage and maintain the integrity of the warehouse management system (WMS) as it pertains to inventory.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate stock levels and efficient material flow.
  • Monitor stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) as applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely as needed.
  • Report on inventory accuracy metrics and findings to management.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform frequent lifting, up to 50 lbs.
  • Understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
