Overview JOB TITLE: Data Analyst CAYUSE COMPANY: Cayuse Civil Services, LLC LOCATION: Austin, TX - Hybrid (3 days remote | Mon & Fri Onsite) SALARY: Based on experience and position level This position is posted for future opportunities. Responsibilities The Data Analyst & Reporting Expert plays a crucial role in transforming data into valuable insights that guide strategic business decisions. Responsibilities include data acquisition, report generation, troubleshooting coding issues, and ensuring that databases are organized and free of errors. All tasks are performed in alignment with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse. Key Responsibilities Assess, analyze, and document data requirements while following industry best practices and standards.
Enhance operations and program functions through insightful recommendations and collaborative support.
Lead special projects and initiate analyses across various initiatives as assigned.
Develop data analysis tools, define requirements, and contribute recommendations to project leadership.
Assist in creating data models that highlight opportunities for improved operational efficiency.
Collaborate with team members to initiate and support projects, optimizing their overall effectiveness.
Establish benchmarks and frameworks to analyze operational trends and measure performance.
Collect data from various sources, generate reports, and perform in-depth analysis of trends and correlations.
Develop metadata, tables, and user interfaces that ensure impactful reporting for business stakeholders.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Qualifications - Here's What You Need The qualifications and skills listed below are intended to provide a general overview for this position. Further specific requirements may arise depending on the project's client. Level 1:
1-3 years of experience in a related field, familiar with typical concepts and procedures, primarily following instructions and established guidelines.
Level 2:
4-7 years of experience, knowledgeable in standard practices and procedures, capable of planning and achieving goals with some creativity and independent judgment.
Level 3:
8+ years of experience, able to independently manage complex tasks and may lead others, demonstrating considerable creativity and latitude.
All Levels:
Skilled in identifying and resolving complex problems.
Adept at creating concise analytical reports.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for addressing technical challenges.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
Willingness to undergo background checks as required.
Minimum Skills: Proficient in researching, gathering, correlating, and analyzing data; developing solutions; preparing concise reports; and prioritizing information effectively.
Experience in converting data into actionable insights and generating comprehensive reports for executive stakeholders.
Skilled in mapping data and recommending improvements.
Able to set benchmarks and frameworks for operational analysis and measurement.
Experience in evaluating data policies for their impact on automated systems.
Competent in compiling data from various sources to conduct in-depth trend analysis.
Proficient in developing metadata, tables, and user interfaces for effective reporting.
Experience in the State or Federal Public Sector is a plus.
Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Creative in utilizing reporting tools for developing data reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
Experience in preparing strategic and SDLC materials, including gap analysis and requirements documentation.

Reports to:
Program Manager Working Conditions Professional office environment with on-site work expected in the main office.
Must reside in the Austin area.
Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties for extended periods.
Efficient use of office productivity tools is required.
You must establish a productive workspace.
Ability to sit for long periods while viewing a computer screen is essential.
Flexibility in work hours may include weekends or holidays.
Willingness to travel for professional development may be required, with travel expenses pre-approved per Texas travel guidelines.
