We're seeking compassionate Resident Care Assistants (RCA) caregivers to join us in our mission to support and enhance the lives of our residents. As a Caregiver, you will be responsible for ensuring that quality services are a way of life for our community where every associate's interaction with residents and family members reflects our compassion and respect for our residents. A Caregiver is trained to provide personal care and related services to residents in the community according to documented, individualized service and care plans.

Starting wages will be higher for those with more experience. Please ensure you have detailed your caregiver experience in your resume or cover letter.

Duties:

  • Obtains vital signs, records cares and medications, and notifies the supervising nurse of deviations per Individual Service Plan (ISP).
  • May aid with the following:
  • Bathing, assisting in dressing and undressing residents as needed.
  • Assisting with grooming needs such as hair care
  • Assist residents in ambulation in building
  • Assist with toileting as needed.
  • Assist in changing incontinent briefs and giving perennial care.
  • Changing bed linens and making beds.
  • Assisting in recording temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, as directed.
  • Aiding in the delivery of specific core programs, such as falls, prevention, exercise, and others as identified, which will provide entertainment, socialization, exercise, relaxation, and fulfillment of spiritual needs to all residents
  • Shares resident success stories and best practices to demonstrate the impact of improved quality of service provided.
  • Reports any concerns or changes in resident's physical, intellectual or emotional well-being to the RN.
  • Creates and maintains resident records by documenting all medications properly, using proper notation on progress notes in an electronic medication record.
  • Carries out special duties or projects as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Follows the resident's ISP as directed.
  • Follows the daily tasks developed for each resident.
  • Communicates with the appropriate supervisor about changes in the resident's status and/or the home situation
  • Assists the resident in maintaining a safe and clean environment for residents.
  • Exhibits a caring and respectful attitude toward the resident and the resident's property.
  • Regular and prompt work attendance.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must work well with elderly, families and co-workers
  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred) Will train the right employee
