SUMMARY: The Supply Chain Intern will be responsible for supporting the procurement team with cost savings initiatives and other daily tasks. Additional projects will also include conducting physical inventory counts, reviewing inventory levels, and status reporting.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & REPONSIBILITIES :
- Assist in supplier management, purchase order creation, and vendor performance monitoring.
- Analyze inventory levels, identify potential stockouts, and support inventory optimization strategies.
- Support and manage updates to our daily metric board.
- Participate in initiatives to streamline supply chain processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency.
- Work with OPS team and Finance to identify root cause / manage corrective action for large inventory variances.
- Work with different departments like production, sales, and finance to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program for procurement, supply chain, finance or another business related major. 2-year degree program enrollment required, 4-year program enrollment preferred.
- Strong computer skills and experience with tools such as Excel and Word
- Self-motivated and goal driven
- Must be detail oriented and possess excellent follow-through skills.
- Physical Requirements: stand for long period of time, climb ladder, bend, push, pull, lift 25+ pounds
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with deadlines, develop strong internal relationships, and work with teams to further company goals.
- Ability to work 100% onsite is required.
