The Housekeeping Supervisor manages the daily operations of the Housekeeping, and Laundry departments. He or She supervises the selection, training and development of employees with an eye toward maximum employee satisfaction, productivity and resident satisfaction. He or She helps maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and general safety of the community. He or she works with a minimum of supervision to ensure all areas are maintained in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition by delegating and performing various tasks using the necessary equipment and supplies, which includes cleaning all common areas (corridors, elevators, guest areas, service areas, restrooms, linen closets, etc.) and resident rooms as assigned.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule and supervise housekeeping activities at the Community.
- Establish and maintain inventories of housekeeping supplies and equipment and ensure equipment is working.
- Maintains housekeeping supply inventory within budget.
- Ensure compliance with applicable governmental regulations and company standards. Identify and correct potential safety hazards.
- Periodically assess and make recommendations for equipment replacement and repair.
- Assists in recruitment, selection, and training of the housekeeping aides as related to their job duties. Schedule departmental working hours, personnel, and assignments.
- Complete employee evaluations on either an annual basis or post probationary period; as well as provide counsel or disciplinary action when appropriate.

- Attends all trainings and in-services
- Responsible for assuring patient/resident safety.
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Physical Requirements:
- Ability to communicate in English via phone, in writing, and verbally in conversation with different levels of staff, residents, and any outside customers in accordance with the Company's HIPPA policy.
- The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- One year of relevant experience preferred
