What You'll Own
Run the operation
- Lead daily plant execution: production, scheduling, quality, maintenance, shipping/receiving.
- Install an operating rhythm: daily huddles, KPI scorecards, weekly priorities.
- Improve throughput, uptime, on-time delivery, and first-pass yield; reduce scrap/rework.
Lead the people
- Coach and hold accountable supervisors and production staff.
- Hire/train as needed; improve standard work, cross-training, and discipline.
Quality & customer performance
- Own inspection standards, defect tracking, root-cause, and corrective actions.
- Communicate proactively with customers; resolve issues fast and professionally.
Grow sales (required)
- Partner on a simple growth plan: target accounts/industries, outreach cadence, customer visits/calls.
- Tighten quoting/pricing discipline and follow-up to increase win rate and margin.
- Expand existing accounts through reliability and responsiveness.
Ideal Background
- Proven manufacturing operations leader (finishing/coatings/paint/plastics preferred).
- Track record improving KPIs: OTD, scrap/rework, labor efficiency, quality.
- Comfortable being hands-on and on-site daily; strong communication and accountability.
- Business mindset: understands margin, capacity, and what drives profit.
Compensation & Equity
- Modest base initially, plus performance-based pay as results ramp.
- Significant equity
available based on milestones (growth, profitability, operational KPIs) and tenure. Details shared in the interview process.
