We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Cook to join our culinary team. We are a small Middle Eastern Restaurant focusing on Persian Cuisine. The matriarch of these recipes has been running kitchens for over 40 years and is willing to share her knowledge and abilities to our next member. We are looking for someone who is excited to learn from the best. Although the restaurant is not high volume, the expectation is speedy service. If you thrive in dynamic settings and are eager to showcase your culinary skills, this position is perfect for you
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Maintain food safety standards by following proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
- Support food presentation and plating to enhance visual appeal for fine dining or catering events.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, ovens, mixers, and other culinary tools.
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with health regulations and organizational policies.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen is a must.
- Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations within the food industry or restaurant environment.
- Familiarity with dining standards enhances your suitability for this role.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food handling techniques are important assets.
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant settings demonstrates your ability to thrive under pressure.
- Knowledge of food industry best practices related to serving and kitchen management will set you apart.
