ROLE OVERVIEW: Financial Advisor

The
Financial Advisor
plays a key role within a high-performing, growth-oriented registered investment advisory office. This position is responsible for converting warm, qualified referrals from a custodial referral program into long-term client relationships. Key to success will be delivering comprehensive, fiduciary financial planning to individuals and families with increasingly sophisticated needs. This role operates within a collaborative, in-office environment and partners closely with a dedicated Business Development officer and centralized planning, tax, estate, and insurance resources. The structure provides consistent referral flow, allowing focus on client engagement, planning quality, and relationship ownership rather than outbound prospecting. The ideal candidate brings strong planning depth, professional maturity, and confidence leading in-person client conversations independently.

Key Responsibilities: Financial Advisor

  • Engage promptly with warm, qualified referrals generated through a newly established custodial referral program.
  • Lead discovery meetings and manage the full advisory onboarding process from initial engagement through client conversion.
  • Convert prospects into long-term advisory relationships through fiduciary, relationship-driven planning conversations.
  • Develop, refine, and present comprehensive financial plans using established planning tools and frameworks.
  • Integrate investment strategy, tax planning, estate considerations, and insurance solutions into holistic client advice.
  • Own ongoing client relationships, including review meetings, planning updates, and long-term guidance.
  • Maintain accurate CRM documentation, follow-up activity, and pipeline management discipline.
  • Partner closely with Business Development, Planning, and Client Service teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
  • Maintain a consistent on-site presence and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing office culture.
  • Participate in client events, educational workshops, and community engagement initiatives as appropriate.

Qualifications & Experience: Financial Advisor

  • 3+ years of client-facing financial planning or wealth management experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading client meetings and delivering comprehensive financial plans independently.
  • CFP or ChFC designation strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to convert warm referrals into long-term advisory relationships.
  • Proficiency with financial planning software (MoneyGuidePro preferred) and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and professionally.
  • High level of organization, follow-through, and accountability in managing client relationships.
  • Comfort operating in a collaborative, in-office advisory environment.
  • Professional judgment and maturity when handling complex client situations.
