Job Overview
We are on the lookout for a passionate and skilled P.M. Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary leadership team The ideal candidate.thrives in. a.fast-paced, high volume environment and is consistency, creativity, and team-driven culture.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing menu items with creativity and precision, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative and efficient work atmosphere.
  • Oversee food production processes, ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene regulations while maintaining exceptional food handling practices.
  • Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular checks, and assisting with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Engage in menu planning, incorporating seasonal ingredients and dietary considerations to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety protocols, and kitchen operations to maintain a skilled workforce.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service and address any guest inquiries regarding menu offerings.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work culture aligned with Flour's core values.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the culinary industry, particularly in fine dining settings.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in supervising kitchen teams and managing shifts effectively.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food production techniques, catering services, and restaurant management practices.
  • Familiarity with dietary department operations and menu planning that accommodates various dietary restrictions is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills to facilitate teamwork between kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel.
  • A solid understanding of inventory management processes, including stock rotation and waste reduction strategies.
  • Passion for cooking with an emphasis on creativity, quality ingredients, and presentation excellence.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation throughout all kitchen operations.
