Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
• Operate Square POS system to process transactions efficiently and accurately
• Engage with customers warmly, providing friendly service and answering questions about menu items
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop area, including food handling and preparation stations
• Manage cash handling duties, including cashing out customers and balancing registers at shift end
• Follow food safety protocols and ensure proper food handling practices are adhered to at all times
• Support food preparation tasks, including assembling food items and managing inventory levels

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is highly preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems like Square is advantageous
• Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
• Basic math skills for sales transactions, retail math, and cash handling accuracy
• Knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation, serving techniques, and food handling procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment while maintaining attention to detail
